Long Time No See | Sam & Leo

leo-porter:

It was already getting dark when Leo closed his books and took a deep breath. His head was hurting from all the stuff he had learned over the past hours and he was glad to get away from it now - and straight to Samantha. He felt a small pain in his heart as he thought of her, it felt like he hadn’t seen her in forever and he missed her. He missed her so bad. He had spent most of the holidays in his room - learning all the things he had forgotten and sleeping because this headache stuff that haunted him since the accident had gotten worse again. But that didn’t matter now anymore. He changed into a light jeans and a black sweater before he left the room, leaving a small note for Jacob that he would be away most of the evening. The corridors of the academy were mostly empty, a lot of the students were still home and he was glad that there was nobody he bumped into and had to talk to. He pushed his hands in the pockets of his jeans as he jumped down the stairs of the students building and went over the dark schoolground towards another building. A small smile crept on his lips as he saw the lights in the arts room burning - it wasn’t surprising that he would find Sam at work.

Leo quickly climbed the stairs up and heard music coming from the arts room. The door wasn’t closed properly so he only needed to push it a little to enter the room. Sam stood in front of one of the walls, looking at some fashion sketches she had hung up. He hesitated a moment and watched her silhouette from behind, feeling his heart jumping a little in his chest at the familiar view. Her long legs, her hips, her fragile hands, her long hair framing her shoulders. It felt like he looked at her in such a different way lately - but a good different way. He smiled even more before he quietly approached her from behind, taking her hand to twirl her around in rhythm with the music. “Hello beautiful”, he grinned as he looked into her eyes, his heart skipping a beat.

Samantha finished the last touch on her fashion sketch, and looked it over. She bit her lip as her eyes followed her charcoal strokes. The Arctic Monkeys played in the background as she made a line a little darker along the hem of a flowing skirt. Sam decided it wasn’t going to be perfect in the way she wanted it to, and she was ready to give up. It was quiet lately, everything seemed to whisper except her thoughts. Samantha turned up her music and sighed. She’d missed school, and had waited patiently for it to start over break. She was bored at home, and she’d been getting into fights with her Step-Dad. And even though that was a pain, she had missed Leo. She missed the way he looked at her. Some nights, she laid in bed wondering if he was missing her too. She spent most of her time painting over break, doing small doodles. She flipped open her notebook curiously and smiled at one of the pages. Scribbled in the corner were little notes she’d written, including one reading, “Samantha Lily Porter” in cursive. She laughed at herself and blushed at the thought.

Samantha picked up her fashion sketches and hung them up on the wall, before stepping down to look them over. She stared at them, criticizing her work, wondering how she could make them better. Samantha’s silhouette was that of slim legs dressed in skinny jeans, and a loose tank with a band on the front. Her hair fell long, and she ran her fingers through it, as her eyes scanned her wall. The red wall was for her sketches, whilst the white on the other side was for her paintings. She was getting lost in her own head, when she felt a hand pull at her own. Samantha’s stomach filled with butterflies at the touch, and she twirled with him as he led her. Smiling too bright for her own good, she quickly pounce, wrapping her arms tightly around Leo, as she buried her face in his chest. “Leo.” She whispered, mostly for the sake of saying his name out loud. “Hi.” She bit her lip as she pulled back, her hair now a bit disheveled, as it fell in her face. “I missed you.”
